Samsung’s 7-inch LCD screen can be rolled up; largest flexible screen in the world

Samsung has developed a flexible LCD screen that measures seven inches diagonally. The screen functions the same as any other LCD screen, except it uses plastic substrates instead of glass, allowing the screen to bend. Samsung has also developed a low-temperature manufacturing process for transistors, to keep the plastic from melting or becoming distorted. Samsung is also looking into organic light-emitting diodes (OLED) to replace the standard LCD used in cell phones and TVs. OLED however, is quite new, and questions of its durability, functionality, and brightness are still unanswered.
