Resodyn – Top-flight engineers, scientists prove that high-tech works in Butte

When a building is bombed, the explosives alone kill few people.

The real weapons are pieces of crushed walls, shattered windows and twisted metal that fly through the air.

This year, the U.S. government started looking for a high-tech way to strengthen buildings, such as embassies and military bases, to control how they break apart in blasts.

The task called for advanced thinkers. The government found them at Resodyn Corp. http://www.resodyn.com/ in Uptown Butte.

“We invent things,” said Robert Hyatt, an engineer for Resodyn, headquartered in Main Street’s historic Hennessy building.
