Forbes publisher, Rich Karlgaard hypes Boise’s perks in "Life 2.0: How People Across America are Transforming Their Lives by Finding The Where Of Their Happiness"

A book by Forbes Magazine publisher Rich Karlgaard calls Boise one of the top locations where white-collar professionals can live and re-invigorate their careers.

"Life 2.0: How People Across America are Transforming Their Lives by Finding The Where Of Their Happiness" tells the stories of professional people Karlgaard met during two summers spent visiting 150 cities nationwide in his 2001 Cessna Skyhawk.

In addition to Boise, Karlgaard’s travels took him to places like Green Bay, Wis., Bozeman, Mont., and Lake Placid, New York, where he interviewed white-collar professionals who have left "the rat race" behind for locations where they assign "equal value to their quality of life as to the size of their paychecks."

The book was released last year in hardcover and it became a Wall Street Journal best-seller. It is being released this month in paperback.
