Award will further work on inspection of aerospace parts
A Pocatello company will get funding from the National Science Foundation to continue research into techniques for spotting structural defects in aircraft engine parts long before they pose a danger to the aircraft.
Positron Systems Inc. was awarded a Phase Two Small Business Innovative Research grant. Company officials would not reveal the value of the grant, but a spokesman said Phase Two grants can total up to $500,000 over a two-year period.
