H. Ross Perot shares life, stories at awards ceremony – Receives The George R. Stibitz Award from The American Computer Museum of Bozeman, Montana

H. Ross Perot landed his first job when he was 6 years old, selling Christmas cards, garden seeds and later copies of the "Saturday Evening Post."

He remembers it now as the best thing that ever happened to him, in terms of his future business career.

"I got paid for what I sold," he said. "That’s a whole lot better than getting paid by the hour, because you know you to have go out and deliver results."

The two-time presidential candidate and Texas billionaire was in Bozeman Friday to receive an award in honor of his contribution to the business world.

The George R. Stibitz Award is presented every year by the American Computer Museum of Bozeman to those groundbreakers who have advanced technological development.
