State needs more angel investors – Indiana Venture Center leader speaks to local entrepreneurs saying "It’s not a local phenomenon, it’s a national phenomenon,"

Indiana entrepreneurs face a capital gap, according to Bruce Kidd, vice president of the Indiana Venture Center.

While venture capitalists may be able to invest many millions of dollars in companies that have developed products ready for the market, there are too few angel investors and too few seed-money investors willing to invest in promising companies that are not yet quite at that stage – companies that are in the process of developing their products, Kidd said.

"It’s not a local phenomenon, it’s a national phenomenon," Kidd said.
