Receive Funding for Sustainable Systems, LLC http://www.sustainablesystemsllc.com
Roosevelt County and the Town of Culbertson have been awarded $800,000 in economic development funding by the Montana Department of Commerce http://commerce.state.mt.us/ through the Community Development Block Grant – Economic Development Program.
Sustainable Systems, LLC, a value added agricultural company, will receive a loan of $760,000 in economic development funds for working capital. The company is in the process of purchasing Montola Growers. Sustainable Systems expects to retain eleven (11) existing jobs and create twenty (20) new positions of which at least fifteen (15) will be made available to low and moderate-income persons.

Governor Schweitzer strongly supports assistance to local agricultural companies. “Helping Sustainable Systems, LLC will keep good paying jobs in Roosevelt County,” said Anthony J. Preite, Director, Montana Department of Commerce. “The purchase of Montola will help sustain the grain market for current local growers.”
The Community Development Block Grant Program is funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Additional funding for this project will be provided by First Community Bank, Great Northern Development Corporation, and Sustainable Systems, LLC. Great Northern Development Corporation will assist with the facilitation of this project.
