Aerospace industry focus of Butte meeting

Gathering at Maroon Activities Center expected to draw about 100 people

Montana companies looking to cash in on the aerospace industry are gathering in Butte this week.

The Montana Aerospace Industry Summit Friday and Saturday is a chance for small companies, from manufacturers to software designers, to connect with industry giants such as Lockheed Martin.

"The idea is to spur business for Montana companies and find opportunities where they can work with large companies," said Jeff Garrard, a spokesman for U.S. Rep. Denny Rehberg, R-Mont.
