Oklahoma To Host 300 Venture Capitalists

Governor Brad Henry hopes to impress more than 300 venture capitalists next month with the state’s research achievements.

The 2005 Bricktown Capital Conference named Venture West http://www.ovf.org/frame_conference.html was announced today by Henry.

Officials from the Oklahoma State Chamber, the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce and the Oklahoma Forum are hosting the conference with Henry.

The governor says the meeting is important because venture capital is needed to help fuel additional breakthroughs in biotech, aerospace, aviation and other Oklahoma businesses.
