Learning for Sustainability – New South Wales’ three-year environmental education plan aims to improve sustainable living.

Learning for Sustainability is the first New South Wales three-year environmental education plan. It aims to build the capacity of the whole community to be engaged in making environmental improvements and living sustainably.

The plan was developed through wide consultation and involvement by the NSW environmental education community. This process included an extensive review of environmental education, expert contributions from members of the NSW Council on Environmental Education and suggestions from stakeholders who participated in the consultation process for the Council working paper, Environmental education in NSW: Towards a three-year plan.

The Plan identifies roles for all stakeholders in achieving its outcomes. Possible actions in response to the Plan include integrating environmental education in corporate policies and work practices, improving program planning and delivery, building knowledge of environmental education and contributing to specific NSW high priority actions identified in the Plan.

Learning for Sustainability is available online as a PDF document. Read more at the resource link below.
