Computer Institute of the Rockies Named Microsoft Small Business Solution Partner of the Year

Microsoft recognized a Montana business as the Small Business Solution
Partner of the Year at their world conference last week. The Computer
Institute of the Rockies was selected for their innovative, economical and
secure solution they provided for NCS Communications, a Montana sole
proprietor, free-lance grant writer.

The solution allows multiple people to work on multiple grants from multiple
locations in Montana. The solution provides 4 levels of security, 5
different methods of version control and 4 different backup systems that
protect just one document which could be worth nearly $6 million. Version
confusion, document corruption or loss means not winning a grant which
effects everyone living in Montana.

“We are extremely honored by this award and proud of the solution we
provided for NCS Communication, a small business. As small business
specialist, we find most business have all the hardware and software needed
to improve efficiency, it’s just not installed or engaged incorrectly. Many
computer companies who aren’t certified in Microsoft products or aren’t
small business specialists really don’t understand the savings they can give
small business.” said Brad Smith, RN, ASCIE, MCPS, CISSP, Director of the
Computer Institute.
