Yellowstone National Park’s new high-tech cameras now online – offer much better views of eruptions

Internet users will find a vastly improved view of Old Faithful geyser and Mammoth Hot Springs, thanks to new high-tech cameras, Yellowstone officials said Tuesday.

The images on the Old Faithful WebCam page offer larger, sharper images and a much better view of eruptions, officials said.

Likewise, Web surfers can see clearer, more colorful images of the terraces at Mammoth Hot Springs.
For comparison, viewers can still access the old Web cam at Mammoth.

The new cameras were donated by StarDot Technologies http://www.stardot-tech.com/ , of Buena Park, Calif., which has supported Yellowstone’s Web camera project since its beginning, officials said.
