Made in Montana campaign gets boost

An allocation from the 2005 Montana Legislature has left Tony Preite, director of Montana Department of Commerce http://commerce.state.mt.us/ , extremely pleased.

The $400,000 appropriation will fund the department’s Made in Montana program.

"It is definitely a bump up over what we had in the past and definitely more funds for the trade shows," he said.

Preite has a number of things in mind for the funds including enhancing the current Made in Montana http://www.madeinmontanausa.com/ program through trade shows, entrepreneurial training for small businesses, national and international marketing assistance, advertising, marketing technical assistance and continuation of development of industry clusters such as biomedicine and bioscience.

"I think we can do a number of things that we haven’t been able to do in the past," he said.
