Billings entrepreneurs sell off to expand opportunities

After six years as business owners, Justin and Ronda Burleson are a little more relaxed in the evening. Ever-changing technology still keeps them on their toes, but they have sold their business, WebParking.COM Inc., to Morrison-Maierle Systems Corp.

The Burlesons now work in the Morrison-Maierle offices at 2020 Grand Ave. in Billings. They are doing a lot of the same things as before – Web services – but they have more resources behind them at Morrison-Maierle.

Darryl Rensmon, who is in charge of technology and information systems at Morrison-Maierle Inc. and also serves as vice president of Morrison-Maierle Systems Corp., said he was familiar with WebParking.COM long before the acquisition. He met Ronda and Justin back in college when all three were in the same program at MSU-Billings. And WebParking has for years done quality Web site work for Morrison-Maierle, Rensmon said.

Back in 1998, Justin and Ronda were doing computer service work when they decided to go out on their own. They formed a Subchapter S corporation and later chose to concentrate on development of Web sites and search engine optimization. Justin also taught Web development and computer classes at MSU-Billings for a time.

"We continued to multi-task and wear 10 hats each," he said.
