Montana Tech Infomatics program sees first grads

After four years of hard work and thousands of dollars in student loans, nine newly minted Montana Tech graduates are ready to tackle the world of infomatics.

The first class in the first program of its kind, graduates are both anxious and apprehensive about what the future brings, but are confident that their skills make them a marketable commodity.

"It’s so broad, it’s hard to explain," said Heather Barry, 22, of infomatics.

Barry, along with fellow graduates Joan Scharf and Megan Boston, are part of the group celebrating their graduation milestone.

"It’s about bringing technology into a health care setting," explained Scharf.
