Growing Zoot Enterprises appoints new president

Rapid growth at Montana’s Zoot Enterprises http://zootweb.com has prompted the Bozeman company to name Dennis Dixon as the new president and chief operating officer.

That puts Dixon in the second-in-command post behind founder and Billings native Chris Nelson.

Nelson remains the company’s chief executive.

"I was president, so I’ve lost my job now," he joked.

The company’s chief operating officer retired a month ago, so Nelson created a new position to help with the rapidly growing company.

"We have a long way to go to conquer the industry we’re in," Nelson said. "We’ve been playing the space for 15 years and we probably have 5 percent of the market. That’s a wild guess."

Zoot Enterprises was started in September 1990 to provide rapid credit checks. The company now works with seven of the top 10 banks in the United States.
