Montana to receive $1.5 million Lewis and Clark grants

Montana will receive $1.5 million of the $4.4 million in 2005 grants from the National Park Service for Lewis and Clark bicentennial events, officials announced.

Montana has 35 of the nation’s 102 projects.

"This is the first of the two years that Montana will be at the heart of the national Lewis and Clark commemoration, and these grants reflect the quality of Montana’s events," said Lewis and Clark Bicentennial Commission Executive Director Clint Blackwood.
