Hoping others can find a fit, Florence couple plans to unload huge lot of Western footwear

Mike and Carla Hilferty are expanding their vocabulary these days. Instead of talking about megabytes, CD-ROMs and computer towers, they’re learning about vamps, topstitching and pegs.
The Florence couple has made a living buying up end-lots of computer inventories, then re-selling them for a small profit. Once they tried the same business model with lawnmowers – much more of a hassle, they agree.
Their latest purchases come from Texas. Some have pointy toes and high heels.
"Cowboy boots," says Carla. "Three thousand pair."
