Silversmith Co. consolidates assembly work in Columbus

Twenty-one workers doing subassembly work for Montana Silversmiths jewelry and belt buckles at 2521 Enterprise Ave. in Billings have been offered transfers to company headquarters in Columbus.

Chief Executive and President Dennis Potzman says the company’s gifts and lifestyles business is growing so rapidly that two other buildings in Billings will be used to store and ship merchandise.

"We offered all employees positions in Columbus," Potzman says. "Obviously, not everyone can take it depending on their family situation."
