Big Sky to end North Dakota flights

Big Sky Airlines says it plans to end its North Dakota service Feb. 19 because of low passenger numbers.

Big Sky currently offers a daily flight from Bismarck to Williston, then to Sidney and Billings, Mont. The airline said Tuesday it will continue service between Sidney and Billings. The flight to Williston and Bismarck will be dropped.

"Unfortunately, the passenger numbers weren’t there to sustain services," said Lynette Goodman, a spokeswoman for Billings-based Big Sky. The airline is a subsidiary of MAIR Holdings, Inc.
