Resodyn (Butte) prepares for joint venture

Resodyn Corp. http://www.resodyn.com/ is working on two large projects in Uptown Butte, including erecting its new Resodyn Building at 55 E. Granite St.

The 17,000-square-foot, $1.2 million project will allow Resodyn to spread its operations down the block from its Hennessy Building. Resodyn President Larry Farrar said he is hopeful the new building — built on land once occupied by The Garden — will be operational by June. The Garden, a reception hall and gift shop, was razed.

Resodyn, a research and development firm, has a growing staff of engineers, scientist and business professionals and holds contracts with both federal agencies and private clients for its products and expertise.

The Resodyn Building will house a joint venture Resodyn has forged with Hugh Craig of California’s Polymetric Interconnect. Together, the companies have formed a group called Polymeric Technologies LLC. The business will develop and manufacture materials for chemical company giant Dow Corning and others, in the Uptown area. "We’re going to have initial manufacturing and start up there," Farrar said.
