Missoula partners turn thinned larch into fine wood flooring – North Slope Sustainable Wood LLC

Small-diameter larch, once considered an inferior wood used mainly for studs and pulp, has found a new niche thanks to local contractors Matt Arno, Mike Wood and Shannon O’Keefe. The three, and partner Peter Stark of Missoula founded North Slope Sustainable Wood LLC and are using the durable soft wood for flooring, like a dance floor in a Missoula studio.
