Economy and Business Precision Lift, Inc. of Monarch, MT is living proof that you don’t have to live in a large metropolitan area to play ball with the big boys!

Monarch, MT is a small town located in central Montana in the heart of the Lewis & Clark National Forest with a population of less than 200. Although not big in size, it’s home to one of the nation’s leading helicopter utility companies.

The company, Precision Lift, Inc. (PLI), evolved out of frustration within the helicopter industry by co-founders Chris Croff and John Tollenaere. Often, those involved in an industry are the very individuals that resolve the problems found within it, which is the case with PLI. During the 1960’s and 70’s Monarch native Chris Croff worked as a geological engineer in Alaska, and grew frustrated with the damage done to his gear by swaying helicopter cargo nets.
