Nutraceutical acquires Montana Naturals assets

Nutraceutical International Corp. said Tuesday it has acquired the Montana Big Sky brand of nutritional supplements by buying certain assets of Montana Naturals Inc. http://www.mtnaturals.com/ for about $600,000 in cash.

The brand focuses on specialty bee products. Montana Naturals’ pro forma net sales in 2003 totaled about $900,000, Nutraceutical said.

Nutraceutical markets, distributes, retails and manufactures branded nutritional supplements and other natural products sold primarily to and through domestic health and natural food stores.
